Elder La Vetta Williams was called as a Preacher and Teacher of the Gospel, by the Lord Jesus Christ in June, 1990. During the continuous and ongoing preparation period of her calling, she has studied extensively, under the direction of the HOLY SPIRIT, the areas of Prophetic Intercessory Prayer, Spiritual Warfare and Deliverance.

From 1991 until the present, Elder Williams has taught many Prayer and Spiritual Warfare Workshops and Seminars. During 1991, as a member of the Faith Temple Church of God in Christ, where she grew up, she served as a Women's Seminar Leader on the topic of "Christian Women in the Workplace."

Beginning in 1992, Elder Williams taught Prayer and Spiritual Warfare Classes on a weekly basis at One Sent Ministries, Inc., in Chicago, Illinois. Since 1992 to the present, she has had various preaching and teaching engagements at churches in the Chicagoland area, downstate Illinois, and Pennsylvania. International conferences have been conducted in Germany, India and Africa. A recent invitation to minister to Church leaders in the Nation of Kenya, E. Africa resulted in a journey during latter November and early December 2006. Great Divinely inspired fellowships were birthed out of this trip to the Province of Nakuru, Kenya. Our team has been invited to return this October 2007 to conduct the first ever regional Women's Conference in Nakuru, Kenya.

In 1994, Elder Williams was licensed to preach. In 1995, Elder Williams was nominated and honored as Christian Woman of the Year by the Christian Women's Community Network of Chicago. Also in 1995, Elder Williams had her debut appearance on the Broadcast Ministers' Alliance of Chicago's International Sunday School Program on TV 38. Such appearances continued through 1996 and 1997. In 1996, she was ordained an Elder of the Lord's Church. Also in 1996 Elder Williams taught a class entitled, "Single, Saved and Satisfied", as part of the Illinois Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship, Daughters of the Promise Women's Conference.

Elder Williams served as an Associate Minister at the Sweet Holy Spirit Full Gospel Baptist Church, in Chicago, Illinois, from 1992 through 1998. Elder Williams served as Pastor of the New Members' Ministry. Additionally, Elder Williams was Lead Servant over the Prayer Ministry, responsible for among other prayer ministry duties, training and equipping intercessory prayer ministers to serve listeners and viewers during the Ministry's weekly live radio and television broadcasts.

Elder Williams continuously served as an active member of the Prison Ministry, conducting worship services at local prisons on a monthly basis. She served as a Board Member of the Christian Board of Education, holding the position of Director of Leadership Education. She also was an Adult Sunday School Teacher at Sweet Holy Spirit Church. Over the several years of ministry, the Lord has blessed Elder Williams to mentor and train many, many men and women of God as spiritual sons and daughters.

In February, 1998, Elder Williams was assigned to teach the Youth Ministry in a four (4) week class on Intercessory Prayer. Many of the young adults were filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, evidenced by speaking in unknown tongues during the closing sessions of this time of sharing.

Since February, 1998, the Lord has consistently confirmed a call for Elder Williams to go to the Nations of the World to teach Prophetic Ministry, through the conducting of Schools of the Prophets.

Since 1998, Elder Williams has continued to serve the Body of Christ faithfully. She is currently worshiping and serving at Cornerstone Christian Center ("Cornerstone") in South Chicago Heights, Illinois under the leadership, direction and instruction of Apostle Gregory D. Howse.

In March, 1998, the Lord directed Elder Williams to form More Like Jesus Ministries, Inc ("MLJM"). In accordance with the instructions received from the Lord, the Illinois not-for-profit corporation facilitates the conducting of National and International Schools of the Prophet throughout the world. Elder Williams serves as CEO of the Board of MLJM. During November, 2002, MLJM conducted its first National School of the Prophets at Cornerstone Christian Center in South Chicago Heights, Illinois. The Lord was great in the midst to raise up and release prophetic ministers into their respective destinies in Him.

In April, 2003, the Ministry team of More Like Jesus Ministries conducted a National School of the Prophets at Revival Church of Love & Deliverance in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where the host Apostle and Pastor is Jeannette Gilbert.

In November, 2004, the Ministry team of More Like Jesus Ministries forged into new territory in N. E. India, for an Apostolic pioneering global work in that region of the world. The Ministry team conducted a prophetic conference and school of the prophets entitled, "Fresh Oil Prophetic Conference" in Dimapur, Nagaland, N.E. India.

Our Ministry team celebrated guest appearances during the months of December 2004 and January 2005 on The Jho Roni Show, on Comcast Cable TV 36, in Chicagoland, where the purpose for the National and International Schools of the Prophets were discussed.

During August, 2005, Elder Williams, led a team of five ministers into new territories in the realm of the Spirit. Our team traveled again to N.E. India as well as South India to conduct the first ever, Women's Conferences in both regions of that Nation. The team ministered to more than 1,000 Indian women in both Conferences. Miracles, signs, wonders, healing and deliverance were manifested in the very presence of God, through the impartation of His Word. Women were released into their respective callings, to serve the Most High God and His people within the Body of Christ.

In the further fulfillment of her calling and destiny set and preordained before the foundation of the world, in Fall 2005, by the grace of God, Elder Williams began matriculating for a Doctorate Degree in Christian Education through Vision International University in Ramona, California.

The vision that the Lord has given Elder Williams has more fully expanded into the Marketplace, where she serves as an Attorney at Law and a Marketplace Apostle, mentoring many young and upcoming new attorneys. Elder Williams plans to begin a Marketplace Mentor's weekly Bible Study in the workplace. Marketplace leaders will come together at lunch time to be equipped to lead the souls of co-workers in their workplaces to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and free access into the Kingdom of God.

Elder Williams has recently announced the Lord's plan for the next marketplace assignment in her legal career. She has been a candidate in the February 2008 Primary Election for the Office of Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois.

The very latest invitations include return trips to Northeast and South India, Kenya, and a trip to Nigeria all for the year 2008. Our heartbeat and passion is to see prophetic ministers taught, trained, equipped and released to serve the Lord and His people in the beauty of holiness, in Spirit and in Truth, through the Redeeming Blood of the Crucified Lamb of God, Jesus the Christ.
